I’ve made quite a lot of progress since my last update and although I had intended having a quiet weekend stitching and complete all bar the centre piece, as true to life things never go to plan. I managed a few hours Saturday evening but Sunday I woke with a slight headache which is still niggling me and refuses to go away! I had forgotten there were beads to be sewn on the piece which is something new to me but as I am going to be going home for a few days later this week I’ll be getting a lesson from Sandra, who btw completed her dragons yesterday and I have to say they do look stunning, you must take a look.
This is my first ever SAL of a same design and I know that if it wasn’t for her encouragement I think Cedric would have become UFO. Now that I’ve seen how lovely it’s going to look when finished I can’t wait to be doing my Happy Dance.

The back stitching hasn’t been as bad as I thought although I’m not 100% happy with it but it changes the piece so dramatically it’s well worth the effort.
Hope you all have a good stitching week. I will be taking my CDT away with me so hopefully some progress to show next week.

well done Sheila !!! it’s looking brilliant and you’re going to be finished in plenty of time for 1st March. Don’t worry about beads, you’ll see, beading is really quite easy once you get started and it will make for a stunning finish.
Looking good!! Stick with the backstitching, it really does go quite quickly once you get into the swing of it.
